Vivid 2017 with NiSi Natural Night Filter
Last week during Vivid Sydney (Vivid Sydney features large scale light installations and projections (Vivid Light); music performances and collaborations (Vivid Music including Vivid LIVE at the Sydney Opera House); and creative ideas, discussion and debate (Vivid Ideas). All three celebrate Sydney as a creative hub of the Asia-Pacific. - FAQ section of Vivid Sydney website) I had the opportunity to shot with the new NiSi Natural Night Filter. The NiSi Natural Night filter is designed to block the wavelengths of light that cause light pollution in night photography. I must say from the outset that it was a joy to photograph with the new filter, and the results are well worth using this filter. Normally, with nighttime photography during Vivid I have had to adjust the colour balance to get the sky to look a little bit more natural, but with the filter the sky stayed just the right colour and both the building lights and light installations just popped.
