What a Tasty Looking Burger
Sculpture by James Dive, What a Tasty Looking Burger, Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2017.
Each year Sculptures by the Sea is held at Bondi. Some of the sculptures are interesting and make you think. Others are abstract and artistic and you often wonder as to their meaning if they have any.
I saw this sculpture this year and it made me think as to its meaning and intent. Was it a reflection of our society and our insatiable appetite for fast food without a regard as to the impact it has on the environment. Or was I reading into this sculpture just too much? I think that is what is so great about artworks, the viewer has a level of interpretation beyond what the artist intended.
Anyway I thought that this would look cool with a long exposure to smooth out the water and give some drama to the sky on an overcast morning.
